Police case against Fahadh fazil

The narcotics department has filed a case against Fahadh fazil for smoking onscreen in Lal Jose's Diamond Necklace. Despite the statutory warning and disclaimer given in the first frame of the movie, the narcotics department went on to file a case against the actor; and not against the director or producer, who had instructed the actor to do so.

During an earlier interview with us, Lal Jose had insisted that the scene was included because the situation demanded so and not to hype the star value of the actor. He had also stated that they had the approval for the same from the Censor Board.
